Captain Calvin Mercer and his landing party find themselves caught in a bloody civil war that threatens all of their lives.
Assigned to a planet at the fringe of the galaxy Mercer and crew are tasked with negotiating for a new power source that could be an enormous asset to the United Federation of Planets. However, they not only find a planet being torn apart by civil war between the ruling Gimtao and the brutish Gongdea, they also may have someone in their crew with a very different agenda.
